Heads up, local businesses! The free website creation feature within Google My Business is officially winding down. If you currently have a website created through this tool, here's what you need to know:

Timeline:

● March 2024: Creation of websites through Google, My Business, stops completely. No new websites will be generated after this date.

● March to June 2024: Existing websites will remain functional, but no edits or updates will be possible.

● June 10, 2024: The final curtain falls. Existing websites will stop functioning, and clicking the website link on your Google My Business profile will redirect users back to your profile page.

What to do if you have a Google My Business website:

● Don't panic! You have time to make a plan.

● Assess your options:

○ Migrate to a standalone website: Consider platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace. This offers more customization and control but comes with additional costs.
